Nebraska Distilleries

Welcome to “The Cornhusker State,” home to gorgeous plains, including the famous “Great Plains” across the west of the state. Aside from the endless plains, you’ll also find a handful of Nebraska distilleries – only about ten of them – that have an uncanny dedication to their craft.

Flying into Nebraska will most likely find you at Eppley Airfield in Omaha. Luckily, Omaha is home to one of the Nebraska distilleries on your list: Brickway Distillery. Plus, two more Nebraska distilleries are extremely close to you in La Vista, about twenty minutes away from Omaha. These two distilleries are Patriarch Distillers and Cut Spike Distillery.

Once you’ve visited these three Nebraska distilleries, everything else is quite a drive. If you don’t mind about an hour’s drive, Cooper's Chase Distillery and Lazy RW Distillery are in West Point, Sideshow Spirits is in Lincoln, and Whiskey Run Creek Winery & Distillery is in Brownville.

After that, you’re looking at a 2 ½ hour drive to Loup River Distilling in Saint Paul, a 3 ¾ hour drive to Long Dogs Distilling in Arapaho, and a nearly seven-hour drive to Great Plains Distillery in Scottsbluff. Where you choose to go is up to you, but driving these long distances will certainly take up a lot of your vacation time.

If you really want to visit the “best of the best” in Nebraska distilleries, we highly recommend Patriarch Distillers (La Vista, 20 minutes) and Lazy RW Distillery (West Point, 1 hour 20 minutes).

Regardless of how you choose to spend your time visiting Nebraska distilleries, we know you won’t be disappointed – Nebraska is home to some fine distilling talent, rivaling other parts of the nation. Plus, Nebraska is home to much of the nation’s corn and wheat farming, making it a great option for local sourcing for mash. We hope you enjoy your time in this beautiful plains-covered state!
