Texas Distilleries

Texas is brimming with amazing distilleries for you to visit, and you certainly won’t have a hard time plotting out a route to visit as many as possible. After all, “The Lone Star State” has more than one hundred Texas distilleries for you to visit and enjoy! Here at Distillery Nearby, we want to make it as easy as possible for you to find local, craft distilleries to enjoy – especially in Texas!

By far, the largest airport in Texas is the Dallas Fort Worth International Airport. But, is it the best place to fly into? That will depend on how you want to spend your time in Texas, of course. As far as Texas Distilleries are concerned, Dallas and Fort Worth have about seven distilleries between them. Houston, San Antonio, and Austin each have about ten, and some tour groups sprinkled amongst them. Arlington also has a great distillery scene to explore.

It depends on which Texas distilleries you want to visit – and there’s no reason why you can’t come back. Our recommendation is to fly to a different one of the big cities each time you visit. This will be the most efficient way to visit Texas distilleries – especially if you want to see as many as possible!

However, if you’d rather see the best that Texas distilleries have to offer, you’ll probably be looking at the following five: Ironroot Republic Distillery in Denison, Bendt Distilling Co. in Lewisville, Balcones Distilling in Waco, Still Austin Whiskey Co. in Austin, and Deep Eddy Vodka Distillery in Dripping Springs.

And, as always, don’t forget to visit some of the greatest sites and attractions while you’re in the state visiting Texas distilleries: the Houston Museum of Natural Science, the Alamo Mission, the Kimbell Art Museum, Franklin Mountains State Park in El Paso, and many more! However you choose to break up your trip, we know you’ll be stunned at how dedicated and knowledgeable Texas’s distillers are to and about their craft.
