Wyoming Distilleries

As soon as you set foot in “The Equality State,” you’ll notice just how beautiful the scenery is. Wyoming is a landlocked state, surrounded by the Rocky Mountains. Breathtaking views are abundant in this state, but Wyoming distilleries are less so. This doesn’t mean that Wyoming isn’t worth the trip!

Your selection of Wyoming distilleries are also spread out very thinly across the state, making them hard to get to. There are, however, small airports sprinkled throughout the state in cities like Sheridan (where you’ll find Koltiska Distillery), Casper (Backwards Distilling Company is here), and Cheyenne (where Chronicles Distilling is located).

Obviously, this makes for a lot of flying, but you might save time as you travel across the state – it’s about 8 hours from one corner of the state to the other, more if you have to go around mountains. However, the Wyoming distilleries you’ll find in “The Equality State” are well worth the effort.

If you only have the time to make it to a single one of the Wyoming distilleries, we highly recommend Wyoming Whiskey in Kirby. This family-owned business was the first legal distillery in Wyoming and serves up delicious bourbon and whiskeys.

To make your trip to Wyoming more eventful, don’t forget to check out Yellowstone National Park, for which there are numerous different tours and planned adventures. You can visit places like the Buffalo Bill Center of the West, the Devils Tower National Monument, the Grand Prismatic Spring, Old Faithful, and even the three-hundred-foot drop waterfall at Artist Point.

There’s so much to do and discover in Wyoming, so don’t be let down immediately by the small number of Wyoming distilleries that the state has to offer you. Create your own adventure in this beautiful Rocky Mountain state!
