Wisconsin Distillers Guild

Wisconsin Distillers Guild

If you have not heard of them before, the Wisconsin Distillers Guild is a non-profit that was formed back in 2014. The Wisconsin Distillers Guild has formed with the goal of promoting spirits that are produced locally in Wisconsin.

There are also some related issues that are under this umbrella like issues that relate to agriculture, and tourism within the state, as well as regulations surrounding small batch distillation, as well as how to safely consume and enjoy alcoholic drinks.

The reason why the Wisconsin Distillers Guild is important is that there are constant challenges faced by smaller distillers within Wisconsin and these distillers need to be stood up for.

For example, issues surrounding government taxation, as well as regulations as well, on top of any misconceptions that surround the safety of distillers within Wisconsin Distillers Guild.

Because of the lack of understanding that surrounds spirits in comparison to other alcoholic beverages, the Wisconsin Distillers Guild believes that they are important for informing decision makers in the states of these misunderstandings.

All of the members in the Wisconsin Distillers Guild are DSPs (Distilled Spirits Plants) that are fully licensed for doing what they do, and what they do is safely produce alcohol within the state of Wisconsin specifically.

These DSPs need to be fully licensed to be members of the board. The board members for the Wisconsin Distillers Guild are in the next section.
