Pennsylvania Distillers Guild

Like a lot of other distillery groups, the Pennsylvania Distillers Guild is a group of distillers and producers of spirits grouped together to help improve and enrich the industry within the state of Pennsylvania.

The group was originally founded back in 2014, and has been using the time since then to advance the industry within the state. The way they do this is by focusing on local agriculture, as well as the legacy Pennsylvania has with distilleries, and to aid in educating those who love spirits within the state!

Leaders

When learning about the Pennsylvania Distillers Guild, something that can be useful to gaining a better understanding about what they do is learning about those in leadership positions and what they are responsible for at the guild.

Firstly, there is Rovert Cassell, he is the president of the Pennsylvania Distillers Guild, and is the founder and a distiller at the New Liberty Distillery from within the state. He has been instrumental in changing and improving legislation for distillers within Pennsylvania.

Then there is Herman Mihalich who is the treasurer of the Pennsylvania Distillers Guild, he is also the founder and a distiller at Dad’s Hat Rye Distillery. And the final leadership position is filled by Mark Meyer, and he is the secretary for the Pennsylvania Distillers Guild.

He is a co-owner as well as a manager for Wigle Whiskey, as well as Threadbare Cider & Mead as well!

Membership

If you are interested in joining the Pennsylvania Distillers Guild, then it is important to know all of the membership information you will need if you want to join the guild!

It is incredibly beneficial to support and to be a member of the Pennsylvania Distillers Guild if you are a distiller from within the state. This will help build a stronger relationship between the members of the guild, as well as legislators within the state, as well as customers.

For an annual membership to the Pennsylvania Distillers Guild, you will have to pay $450 a year, and you are eligible to join if you are a licensed distiller within the state of Pennsylvania.

If you are in your startup phase and want to join, you can become an associate member, once you become licensed, you will automatically get a full membership and the voting rights that come with it!
