If you’re visiting the Tampa Bay area (or you live here and just want to know what’s good), you might be looking into distilleries in the Tampa Bay area. Today, we’ve lined up eleven of Tampa’s distilleries (and what they offer!) to get you started. Check out each to get a feel for Tampa’s craft distilling scene!

Cotherman Distilling
Probably one of the best distilleries with an attitude in the Tampa Bay area, Cotherman Distilling is located in Dunedin, FL. They don’t currently have a website, but their Facebook page is alive and well – and filled with tons of fun memes!
Spirits Offered by Cotherman Distilling
Due to not having a website, we were unable to view what types of spirits they offer. They opened back in 2015 with their first bottles of vodka, and we know that their cocktail room (called Conspiracy Craft Cocktail Garage) offers delicious drinks like margaritas. They also regularly have loaded “dawgs” and tacos via–presumably–a food truck.
We recommend you stop on in if you’re in the area visiting. This seems to be a great stop for both locals and tourists – and their sense of humor really resonated with us!

Gasparilla Distillery & Cocktail Bar

Gasparilla Distillery & Cocktail Bar really do capture that je ne sais quoi that you’d expect from a true pirate distillery. From interior decor to their bottle design, they have spared no expense in making their distillery a true experience for visitors. From candle-lanterns to staff dressed in pirate garb, the atmosphere is truly amazing at this distillery and cocktail bar.
If you’re looking for a really fun experience that will blow you away, stop by Gasparilla for drinks and a tour. Tours cost $12 per person and are offered every day the distillery is open. They ask that you reserve your spot on their website, however.

Loaded Cannon Distillery
Gasparilla Distillery is fantastic, but there’s another pirate contender in the Tampa Bay area – Loaded Cannon! Voted Best of Florida in the distilleries category, Loaded Cannon has so much to offer both local residents and tourists alike.

Loaded Cannon has a wide variety of spirits you can try while you’re visiting. They have rums (of course), vodka, gin, bourbon, and whiskey. Here are some of their most popular offerings so you can get an idea of what you can get there:

Tarpon Springs Distillery, nestled in a historic sponge warehouse in Tarpon Springs, Florida, offers a really interesting blend of Greek-American heritage and craft spirit production. The distillery prides itself on its small-batch production and meticulous attention to quality. Each spirit is crafted from scratch on-site, with malted grains often sourced from heritage seeds and gin botanicals grown in their own garden.
Visitors to the distillery can enjoy tours where they’ll learn about the production process, see the stills named Amazing Grace and RD2D, and sample spirits in the tasting room. The tours are complimentary, running every half hour, though booking in advance is recommended.

Preez Distillery
Located right in Largo, Florida, Preez Distillery is a veteran-owned and operated distillery that produces handcrafted vodkas and liqueurs. This distillery was founded in 2019; since then, they’ve been producing delicious clear spirits for Tampa Bay area residents and tourists. Preez Distillery is equipped with four small-batch stills that can pump out 400 bottles of vodka or other spirits per month. They can run four different flavors at a time, too!

This family-operated distillery is celebrated for its approach to making high-quality, award-winning spirits. They have several different (and very potent) options: 100-Proof Wild Buck American Rye Whiskey, 100-Proof Florida Mermaid Rum, and 150-Proof Ryes In Shine Moonshine, to name a few.
