If you have never heard of it before the Virginia Distillers Association is a group that was founded back in 2016 by people from Virginia in the spirits industry.

The Virginia Distillers Association is a non profit that aims to improve the legislative and the regulatory promotional environment for distillers that are working in Virginia.

The goals of this is to help aid economic growth for the industry as well as provide more educational opportunities about the industry as well.

Leadership

One thing that is important to know when learning about the Virginia Distillers Association when learning about it is who the people who run it are. Firstly there is Rick Wasmund who is the President of the Virginia Distillers Association and is part of the Copper Fox Distillery.

Then, the Vice President of the Virginia Distillers Association is Andrew Yancey who is a member of the Tarnished Truth Distillery.

Then both the secretary and the treasurer of the Virginia Distillers Association is Barry Haneberg who is a member of Virago Spirits.

Members of the board of the Virginia Distillers Association include Michelle Davenport of Three Crosses Distilling Co., Owen King of Ironclad Distillery, Bill Karlson of KO Distilling, and Allan Delmare of Dida’s Distillery.

The Virginia Distillers Association represents a massive number of distilleries that are located all over the state. All these distilleries produce unique products and are well worth checking out.

Associate Members

As well as the leaders of the guild, and the distilleries that are part of the group, there are also associate members, most of these being Heritage Members.
